Banyak-banyak Beristigfar
Sepanjang bulan lalu dan bulan ini (Oktober - November 2008) dan terutama di minggu ini, aku merenung dan mengevaluasi diri. Aku mesti banyak-banyak istighfar dan semakin banyak bersabar.
Menurut Amru Muhammad Khalid dalam bukunya Sabar dan Bahagia, dari sini aku cerna sendiri bahwa sabar itu terdiri dari 3 tingkatan:
- Sabar dalam menjalani ketaatan, ini sabar dengan posisi pertama. Sabar di sini terasa berat kecuali bagi orang-orang yang beriman dan orang-orang yang cinta pada-Nya
- Sabar dalam menjauhi maksiat, well ini pasti sangat berat buat orang yang suka berbuat maksiat, tapi posisinya ada di urutan kedua.
- Sabar dalam menghadapi ujian atau masalah hidup seperti bencana alam, kematian anggota keluarga, masalah pekerjaan, himpitan ekonomi dsb.
Kalau dilihat, banyak orang menganggap bahwa sabar di tingkatan paling bawah yaitu di nomor 3 adalah sabar yang terasa sangat berat. Padahal kalau dipikir, banyak orang lain yang memiliki masalah lebih berat dari kita. Mereka boleh jadi terlihat bahagia, tapi memiliki masalah pelik yang tidak kita ketahui.
Aku mengevaluasi diri, banyak istighfar dan bersabar diri menghadapi berbagai macam masalah. Mudah-mudahan cepat berlalu. Nikmati saja yang ada, tetap berusaha tanpa kenal lelah, toh semuanya sudah ada hitung-hitungannya.
Mudah-mudahan aku dan keluarga tetap bersyukur dan bahagia. Amin 
Freelancer, I Feel Your Pain
We both know that freelancer is the most challenging job ever, after house wife of course (this is the grand most challenging job ever 
). I have been freelancer before I join with GroupM in almost 1 year. Those are ups and downs being freelancer, from numerous pending payments with numerous hours to do a projects until no job offered in a period of time.
But being freelancer means “free”-dom, but sometimes freelancing can not be free from financial problem, a lot of stress, overload, crazy work hours, etc. That’s why I decided to be a regular employee, but still I miss when I was being a freelancer ;).
Well, I do freelancing sometimes, the main reason is getting another challenge, learning something new,especially about new web technology, new interesting API, perhaps the most interesting is learning some flow how to connect one application to another application. How to make those applications work seemlessly. How they work together even though they are written in different language, host on different platform etc.
Back to our topic. Freelancer I know how you feel when you face the truth that you have spent your crazy long hours and you have six or seven pending payments. I know how you must face day by day with how to pay your bill and in the same time your clients is also very demanding…
The Amazing New GMail
I checked my GMail yesterday and found some differences. GMail is faster than before. Some features have been added to enrich the User Interface. I must admit that the first time I used GMail, I thought this is the best webmail software in this world (oops, I didn’t meant that Yahoo! Mail webmail is the best too, the drawbacks only on the interface that mimic some email clients software out there and bloated).
Ok, back to the GMail. I can make my inbox colorful by adding some labels (I prefer to use tags term for this, I think the GMail developer will be consider using term “tags” instead of label). The label’s color can be changed to make it different with others, so we will aware what the most important emails, where they come from, have some attachments and so on.
Don’t forget to include how fast I can read my email, how fast I can search my emails with different search options (to:, from: subject: etc) And the most important is, GMail interface is clean and fresh. That’s why I give GMail the number one webmail software :).
Thanks Google to make my life easier.

I have some projects to be set up and running
I have some projects to be set up and running on this week. Some projects has started and will drive me nuts!
But it’s OK, as long as I have much time to do that :D. Using Content Management System really save my life. Drupal or Wordpress come to resque me. BUT that’s OK if there are no modifications, custom module in it. If I have to build or create new module, oh my I wish to get my deadline on time.

Five Things I hate about reading…
Judulnya aja yang keren, tapi ternyata isinya Bahasa Indonesia yang tidak baik dan tidak benar :D. Judulnya juga meniru judul film yang gue suka yang dibintangi almarhum Heath Ledger: Ten Things I Hate About You.
- Membaca model penulisan SMS yang diadaptasi ke website, biasanya ada di forum, isi email dan parahnya lagi jika ada di halaman weblog! Kalau di instant messaging, sih, no problem. Contoh:
Miss aQ mo curhat nie…Aq bingung bgt, aq suka sm seorang cwo, sukaaaaa bgt. Aq pkr aq dah jth cinta sm dy. Tp kata tmen2 qu, aq tuch bknnya cinta sm dy tp cm terobsesi sm dy. Aq akuin, aq sk sm dy krn dy cute n cool, pkknya aq bgt deh miss. Nah skrg aq jd mkr apa bnr aq cm terobsesi sm dy?..Pleaze bntuin aq ya miss.Thx b4.
- Penulisan yang mencampur aduk huruf besar dan huruf besar, gue tahu ini cuma gaya-gayaan atau “trend” masa kini alias gaya ABG banget atawa gaya gue banget (iya, gaya ngga konsisten)

Ya Tuhan, keyboardnya cuma 12 tuts seperti di handphone? Atau mungkin handphone-nya ngga punya fasilitas Predictive Text?
- Kata-kata pertamax atau keduax di beberapa komentar blog, forum dan sebagainya. Weks, sebagai pemilik blog, mending ngga ada komentar deh. Coba bandingkan dengan blog-blog milik tetangga-tetangga kita, komentarnya lebih bermutu dan konstruktif. Kalau isi blog-nya hanya main-main, okelah, tapi kalau isinya serius, mestinya kita menghargai blogger yang membuat tulisan tersebut dengan memberikan komentar yang baik pula. Memangnya orang Indonesia suka guyon ya?
- Tulisan copy paste dari e-mail berantai dan terkadang adalah HOAX! Kalau isi e-mailnya adalah cerita yang membangkitkan semangat dan pencerahan saya pikir ngga masalah, karena gue sering meng-copy paste cerita ini, haha
- Topik yang terlalu sering dibahas, biasanya berupa tips dan trik
